Lauren Denard guest of honor at miscellaneous shower Apr. 29

Lauren Denard, bride-elect of David Bridges, was honored at a miscellaneous shower given by the ladies of Washington Chapel in the fellowship hall Sunday afternoon, April 29.

For the occasion Miss Denard chose a cream lace top over green linen pants. She was presented a white gerbera daisy corsage.

As guests arrived, they registered in her bride's book placed near the entrance on a table adorned with a vase of delicate lilies of the valley.

Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods and summer punch from a table overlaid in white and centered with a bouquet of foxgloves, dianthus and iris from the gardens of the bride-elect's cousin, Sonia Hoffman.

Forty guests attended and included the bride-elect's mother, Mrs. Greg Denard, and grandmothers, Mrs. Aage Hoffman and Mrs. Randall Denard; and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Tommy Bridges. Special out-of-town guests included the bride-elect's aunt, Mrs. Richard Hoffman, and cousins, Mrs. Jon-Paul Hoffman, Samantha and Jon-Ashton, all of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
