Emma Scott celebrates first birthday Apr. 24

Emma Scott, daughter of Joey and Shannon Scott of Dearing, was one year old on April 24.

Emma celebrated a few days before on Saturday, April 21, with a "Flowers and B u t t e r f l i e s " theme party. For her party she wore a lavender dress that was trimmed in lace and adorned on the front with a cupcake and her name. The dress was handmade by her great-grandmother, Dell James of Washington.

Guests enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, cake and ice cream.

After the party everyone released balloons in Emma's honor.

Celebrating with Emma and her parents were her sister, Summer; grandparents, Scotty and Genise Scott of Thomson; great-grandparents, Howard and Dell James, Tom and Agnes Smith, Camilla Scott and Sarah Standard of Washington; Ronnie James, Sherri Bailey, Garner and Reese, of Washington; Larron, Susan and Bryanna Pilgrim, Nick Holderfield, and Anna and India Matthews of Thomson, Drew and Charlotte Bullard of Appling, and Angela and Kaedin Furmon of Augusta.
