Engaged couple guests of honor at Stock the Bar party at Fitzpatrick

The ballroom of the Fitzpatrick Hotel was the scene of a Stock the Bar party honoring engaged couple Katherine Jones of Thomson and W.E. Burdette IV on Saturday, April 14.

Hosts for the occasion were Bill and Mary Elizabeth Burdette, Barry and Cindy Goolsby, Jack and Mary Lois Newsome, Steven and Dawn Pickens and Dan and Susannah Sisson of South Carolina.

Bar paraphernalia was used in the corsage and boutonniere for the bride-elect and prospective bridegroom.

The ballroom was decorated in white linens, candles and greenery.

Heavy hors d'oeuvres of beef tenderloin, marinated mushrooms, shrimp salad, Vidalia onion dip, salsa, cheese straws and ladyfingers were served.

The hosts presented the couple an engraved wine cooler, tray and napkin holder.

About 50 guests attended.
