There is still a lot of sickness in our church and community. Rev. Martin is still not well, but he came and preached a good message from I Corinthians 10:23-33. Hope you have a good day and many more. ..Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty spent the week at their home at the lake in Elbert County. They enjoyed resting and fishing. Ricky was overjoyed when he caught a 32-pound striper and plans to have it mounted. ..Tad Hopkins of Eatonton had lunch Sunday with his grandmother, Mrs. Iris Dyson. ..Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer went to Danielsville Saturday afternoon to see Mrs. Sue McCarty. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Bud Spinks and Mrs. Louise Glenn in Carlton. ..I hope all mothers have a happy Mothers Day Sunday. Personally I always have sad memories that day. My mother was buried on Mothers Day in 1942 at the age of 39. I still miss her.
