GSP investigates only 5 accidents, 3 injuries in April

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated five traffic crashes during the month of April in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Derrick Durden said the traffic crashes resulted in three injuries. There were no fatalities.

SFC Durden said troopers from Post 17 also issued 111 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes 66 citations for speeding, 17 seat belt violations, and three child restraint violations. There were no arrests for driving under the influence.

Troopers also issued 160 warnings.
