I did not get to church Sunday. I know they had good attendance, good preaching, and good fellowship and food. I heard from several of my friends, but I knew they would have a great day in the Lord's house. We always do. ..Happy birthday to all who are celebrating birthdays this week. ..The Relay for Life seemed to have been a great success. I attended and enjoyed it very much. You really don't know how much the American Cancer Society does until cancer strikes in your family. Also, the Wilkes County Cancer Society does an awful lot to help patients. I know for they helped me, and that will always be the ones I support. I supported them in the past, but there is a difference once cancer strikes in your family. Please, please support this worthwhile charity. Join in the war and fight this dreadful disease. Thanks to everyone who made this Relay for Life a great success. I cannot thank you enough. Every day is a gift - a gift of life. So stay in the battle and fight and give, give, give to this wonderful organization. ..William Tuttle of Daleville, Ala., spent some time at the Tuttle homeplace and visited relatives and friends. ..Friends of Mrs. Alma O'Neal would be interested to know that she has not been well lately.
