worship service at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. James Braxton was in St. Mary's Hospital in Athens over the weekend. Karmen Moon and little Samuel were unable to come. He has been sick for several weeks. Rev. and Mrs. Martin were somewhat better but still not up to par. We hope everyone will be feeling better soon. ..Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the awards and recognition luncheon of the CSRA Regional Development Center Area Agency on Aging held at the Julian Smith Casino Wednesday. James was recognized as volunteer of the year and was presented a beautiful trophy. Others from Washington attending the celebration were Mrs. Joe Harris, Donna Hardy, Linda Echols, and Mrs. Louise Denard of Tignall. Everyone had a real good time. .. My grandson, Philip Hayden, graduated with the Greenbrier High School Class of 2007 Saturday afternoon at the James Brown Arena in Augusta. Family members attending were his parents and brother Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer, Ray Branham, Whitney and Charlie, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Branham, and Mr. and Mrs. Josh Caldwell. After the commencement program everyone went to the Hayden residence for a cookout. .. Samille Sherrer and Elaine Filipiak visited Iris Dyson Tuesday afternoon. Visiting her Thursday were Megan Turner and Harrison and his friend, Emily Higginbotham, of Elberton, Evelyn George and grandson, Lawrence Gallo. ..Mr. and Mrs. Josh Caldwell spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer and attended services at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday morning.
