Vanessa Wilson feted at bridal shower on May 19

The Canoochee Baptist Church Social Hall in Canoochee was the scene of a miscellaneous shower-tea honoring Vanessa Wilson, brideelect of Clay Patrick of Guyton, Saturday, May 19. The ladies of Canoochee Baptist Church served as hostesses.

Miss Wilson was lovely in a black and white three-quarter length sleeve jersey dress. She was presented a white rose with greenery in addition to a handkerchief monogrammed "Vanessa and Clay 6-30-07."

The tea table featured a large mixed spring arrangement. From the table guests enjoyed nuts, cheese straws, pimento cheese and chicken salad sandwiches, cheese crackers, cake, party cucumber sandwiches and punch.

The table holding the gifts displayed a large arrangement of "Canoochee famous" day lilies from the gardens of Mr. and Mrs. Darriel Lane.

Among the guests attending were the bride-elect's mother, Candy Hopkins of Washington, and Evelyn Patrick of Swainsboro, the prospective bridegroom's mother.
