Pauletta Ingrid Schreiner weds Paul Edwards Oliver

Mrs. Paul Edwards Oliver
Pauletta Ingrid Schreiner and Paul Edwards Oliver of Newnan were married in an impressive doublering ceremony Saturday, April 28, at the First Christian Church in Fairburn. Rev. Keith Davenport of Fairburn officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schreiner of Riverdale and the niece of Mrs. Donald Nelms of Tignall.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Oliver of Woodstock.

The altar was flanked by candelabra and ferns and family pews were marked with tulle bows. To one side of the altar was the unity candle. Another nearby candle was lighted in honor of the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Rosemary Whaley of Rome, who was unable to attend, and in memory of the bride's grandmothers, Mrs. Lou Clark and Mrs. Maria Schreiner, her uncles, Fred Clark and Donald Nelms, and the bridegroom's grandparents, Harry Oliver and Mrs. Jimmie Oliver.

Lighting candles were by Frank Mozolic of Tallahassee, Fla., uncle of the bride, and Sean Cotton of Peachtree City, brother-in-law of the bride.

Programs were given out by Tabitha Grooms of Newport, Tenn., cousin of the bride.

Jerry Mathis of Fairburn was pianist. Selections included "Ave Maria," "The Prince of Denmark's March," "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," and "End of August." "Canon in D" was the processional and the bride entered to "One Man's Dream." "Wedding March" was the recessional. Mrs. Reece Grooms of Newport, Tenn., cousin of the bride, sang "I'll Be."

Cindy Shonts of LaGrange gave the readings that included 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

Tyler Grooms of Newport, Tenn., rolled the aisle runner prior to the processional.

Mr. Oliver was his son's best man and ushers were Mr. Cotton and Mr. Mozolic. Groomsmen were Jason Bastow, David Bettis, Joshua Carmichael, James Craven and Roddrick Thornton of the Atlanta area.

Mrs. Sean Cotton of Peachtree City was matron of honor and Stephanie Schreiner of Riverdale was maid of honor. Both sisters of the bride, they wore Tiffany blue Vneck cocktail tea-length dresses. Mrs. Cotton carried three roses while Miss Schreiner carried two.

Bridesmaids, Heather Bastow, Missy Bayliss, Jamie Krafick and Kara Miles, all of the Atlanta area, wore Tiffany blue cocktail tealength dresses designed with square necklines. Each carried a single rose.

Flower girl, Layla Julie Cotton of Peachtree City, niece of the bride, wore a periwinkle blue dress with white polka dots and carried a basket decorated with white roses. She was escorted down the aisle by her father, Sean Cotton.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was stunning in her white satin gown fashioned with a fitted dropped bodice and full-length pickup skirt.

A rhinestone tiara held her hiplength veil, made by her mother. A broach belonging to her grandmother, the late Mrs. J. A. Clark of Newport, Tenn., was attached to her hand-tied bouquet of pink and white roses with white ribbon.

Her diamond bracelet and earrings were borrowed from her aunt, Mrs. Frank Mozolic of Tallahassee, Fla. Her "something blue" were her initials on her shoes.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Schreiner wore a two-piece taupe outfit that included a brocade bolero jacket.

The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Oliver, chose a gold tea-length dress and matching jacket.

Mrs. Frank Mozolic directed the wedding.

Reception

Following the ceremony the bride's parents entertained in the fellowship hall of the church.

In lieu of a bride's book, guests signed special cards for the couple and placed them in a beautiful glass holder. A white lace cloth covered the table adorned with a French horn filled with seasonal flowers.

The bride's table was also decorated in white lace and held a bouquet of red flowers for the bride to toss before leaving. Her cake was a three-tiered chocolate with white icing creation topped with a porcelain bride and bridegroom. Mrs. Linda Becham served the cake.

The bridegroom's cake, shaped as a football field, was served by Stephanie Becham.

Others assisting in serving were Nancy Clark and Georgia Clark of Newport, Tenn., aunts of the bride.

Guests' tables were covered with Tiffany blue cloths and centered with mirrors topped with cylinders of white hydrangeas and ribbons. Glass rocks and votives completed the settings.

Recorded music for the reception was provided by Reece Grooms of Newport, Tenn., cousin of the bride.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver are living in Newnan.

Rehearsal Dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Oliver were hosts at a rehearsal dinner honoring Ingrid Schreiner and Paul Oliver on Friday evening, April 27, at Andre's Off The Square in Newnan.

Miss Schreiner wore a strapless cream dress accented with red designs and a red ribbon tie.

The party area was beautifully decorated as tables held varied arrangements of hydrangeas, tulips, carnations and willow.

Guests included the wedding party, family and out-of-town guests.
