Katie Shelton guest of honor at miscellaneous shower May 20

Katie Shelton, bride-elect of Tucker Hardy, was honored at a miscellaneous shower Saturday morning, May 20, at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center.

Hostesses for the festive occasion were Gloria Hardy, Jessica Hardy and Kay Poplin, all of Washington.

Miss Shelton was lovely in a white strapless embossed eyelet sundress complemented by a white Gerbera daisy corsage, presented to her by the hostesses.

Guests signed the register at the entrance at a table covered with a vintage bridal veil and decorated with a bridal bouquet of white and yellow roses. Also at the entrance was a tall cylinder of mixed silk spring flowers.

Party foods, punch and coffee were served from a table covered in green and overlaid in white Battenburg lace. Crystal candleholders entwined with ivy centered the table.

The bride-elect opened her gifts under an arbor of silk roses and greenery. Silk trees and Boston ferns surrounded the arbor setting.

Thirty-five guests attended and included special guests, the brideelect's mother, Melissa Shelton, and grandmothers, Kitten Fain and Linda Shelton; and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Joyce Hardy, and grandmother, Lois Hardy, all of Washington-Wilkes.
