Honored for years of service
Retiring educators and system personnel were honored at the Wilkes County School System's county-wide meeting Thursday, May 24. Three retirees were presented plaques in honor of their retirement. Left to right are Alfreedia Rucker, W-W Elementary School; Rosemary Hopkins, school nutrition; and Andrew Jackson, Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School principal. Superintendent of Schools Joyce Williams (right) made the presentation.
