Vacation Reading Program starts with birds of prey show at Library

The Mary Willis Library Vacation Reading Program got off to a good start Saturday, May 19, with a Bird of Prey show presented by Winged Ambassadors of Newnan.

About 80 people came to the library throughout the day. Refreshments were enjoyed after the show by all in attendance.

The staff of the library expresses appreciation to sponsors of the Vacation Reading Program, stating that without their generous contribution to the program and the support and involvement of the community the program would not be possible.

The next Vacation Reading performance will be by Wendy Bennett of Picadilly Puppets on June 5 at 10 a.m. No registration is required for this program.

Storytime begins on June 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the library and is open to the public.

The library staff encourages all children to become a part of this fun summer event.
