I hope you all had a nice Memorial Day holiday. I should have mentioned in last week's paper how much I appreciate and love our veterans, whether it be in one of the World Wars, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War (when I was in high school in the 1960s), or the war in Iraq. We all know someone who did not come home from those wars. Some have family members who did not come home. We honor these men and women who gave the supreme sacrifice -- their lives. Do something for a veteran this week -- a visit, a phone call, some food or something and tell them how much you love and appreciate them. And don't forget to pray for those in conflicttoday. I'm sure they would like to be home with their loved ones, eating a good meal, enjoying a warm bath, and relaxing. Folks, we take all this freedom that we enjoy for granted.
