Clarence Lloyd Smith Funeral services for Clarence Lloyd Smith, 81, of Smith Road, Lexington, were held Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Elberton, with Rev. Allen Danner officiating. Burial was in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Elberton. He died Thursday, May 24. Mr. Smith was a native of Oglethorpe County and was the son of the late Clarence P. Smith and Everlyn Rooks Smith. He was a member of the Elberton Christian Church, a retired poultry farmer, trucking company owner-operator, a member of the American Legion and the Philomathea Masonic Lodge 492 in Clarkston, and was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Thomas Smith of Lexington; a daughter, Lee Ann Smith, Molena; two sons, Dennis Smith of Thomson, and Leslie Smith of Lexington; and three grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1500 Oglethorpe Ave., Suite C, Athens 30606.
Berry Funereal Home of Elberton was in charge of arrangements.
