Kettle Creek NSDAR meets May 21 at Woman's Club
Mrs. Hickman, introduced by her cousin, Ginny Broome, spoke on how to preserve material we inherit in a program entitled "Being a Packaratamuch and Dealing with Stuff." Joanne Pollock, regent, presided. Joe Harris reported on the Kettle Creek Battleground committee and noted a brochure on the battle is being produced. He also noted that there is an interest in acquiring more property and the committee is trying to get the site on the State map. The National Defense Minute was given by Patsy Bailey. She read an essay written by her eight-year-old grandson, John David Bailey Jr., entitled "Why I Am Proud to be An American". Other announcements and reports were given during the business meeting.
