Garrett has started a new tradition by hosting barbecue

Welsey Garrett of Grayson and Tignall hosted a catered barbecue at the Garrett farm in Tignall Saturday, May 19. Bo Rhodes catered the event.

Wesley seems to have started a tradition of some sort as he hosted a similar event a few years ago.

After everyone "caught up" on what had been going on in their world, told a few old stories of yesteryear, and commented about how young they all looked, a delicious barbecue meal with all the trimmings was served.

The guest list included Greg Garrett of Dacula; Ray Hopkins of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; Cicero Lucas of Bogart; Guinn Ware of Evans; Curtis Allgood, Gene Burton, Fred Hall, Floyd King, Tony King, John Mell Pitts, Tookie Sword, Charlie Turner and Clois Worley, all of Elberton; Boots Gunter, Buddy Lindsey, Charles Rhodes, and Gayle Roberson of Washington; O'Neil Adams, George Dixon, Roy Harrison Jr., Hugh Keener, Jack Rhodes and Gene Wilson of Tignall.

Everyone had a great time and looking forward to next year.
