First Baptist Church Washington sets VBS for week of June 4-8 Vacation Bible School will be held at the First Baptist Church, Washington, June 4-8, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon each day. Theme for the week is "Game Day Central: Where Heroes Are Made. "It will be a week of nonstop action as children and adults learn what it means to join God's team, play your position on the team, get in the game by believing God's plan for salvation, take action to serve others, and recruit new teammates," says Ann Tiller, Vacation Bible School Director. "The statistics will show that when you stay focused and keep your eyes on Jesus, you will become a true hero." Children age four through the fifth grade are invited to attend each day's program. In this one-week season they will hear play-by-play Bible stories, participate in successful crafts, warm up to motivating music, eat snacks from the concession stand, and train in the recreation field house. During the same week, the youth will experience Heroes with Bible study and special activities planned just for them, beginning at seven o'clock each evening. Adults also will have the opportunity to participate in a Bible study called "It's a Winner." This week of fun, food, and exciting learning opportunities is free of charge and open to everyone.
