PURPOSE: Local gospel ensemble performs at church, radio station

Members of the gospel ensemble PURPOSE are (l-r) Natasha Bell, Dawn Harper, Simone Nunnaly, Antwain Bass, Terrica Hurley, Michelle White, Brenda Nunnaly, and Marquis Jones. Other members not pictured are Majekia Chapman, Mario Gresham, Rea Daniels, and Brystal Harden.
PURPOSE, a gospel ensemble which developed from Purpose of Life Ministries, traveled to Jacksonville, Fla., during the Memorial Day Weekend where the group gave two performances at the First Samuel Baptist Church. They accompanied Bishop Dante Smith as he preached the Word of God.

During their stay in Florida, PURPOSE had the opportunity to perform "live" on one of Jacksonville's top radio stations. The group also met key players in the gospel music industry. These players encouraged PURPOSE to produce its first album and the group was invited to perform in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in October.

The group expresses special thanks to Jimmy's Automotive, Orin Wynn, and the many community members who pledged financial support and prayers. PURPOSE and Purpose of Life Ministries continue to seek financial assistance as they try to spread the Good News of God's purpose and plan for Christian living.

Inquiries should be directed to Michelle White at 706-338-1109 or Brenda Nunnaly at 208-420-6519.
