The Rayle Lunch and Learn Club will meet June 27 at 10 a.m. at Rayle City Hall. Any interested lady is invited to attend. .We are so thankful for our rain even though we need much more. It was great when Ifelt the first little sprinkles. Now that it has started we will probably be getting more. . Vacation Bible School will be held at Sardis Baptist Church June 10-15 from 7-9 p.m. All children from birth to sixth grade are invited to attend. The theme for the week is "Game Day Central: Where Heroes Are Made." There will be many interesting activities. For more information call Monica Gunter at 706-274-3808. .Sardis Baptist Church enjoyed having Rev. Skip Padgett as guest speaker Sunday morning. Monica Gunter led in the singing of hymns with Pam Hall at the piano. Children's church was held in the annex with Courtney Gunter. Cody Armour was in charge of the nursery. Prayer meeting is every Wednesday evening at the Echols Home. .Our thoughts and prayers are with Joyce Bowen who is very ill in Doctors Hospital in Augusta. .Bonnie Boatwright visited Lamar and Kay Berry Saturday afternoon. Kaitlyn and Bryson Porter of Washington spent Saturday night and Sunday with their grandparents, Lamar and Kay Berry. .Prayers continue for Joyce Bowen, Ruby Chafin,Mari Ann Chow, Bonnie Boatwright, Richard Burkett, Pete Poss, Gary Rogers, Pete Hardy, Peggy Walker, Roberta Roper, Stephanie Chapman, Kathryn Padgett, Ellie Frey, Doug Eberhardt, Pat Wynne, Betty Wynne, Betsy Wynne, Becky Thomason, Tom Bufford, Joe Bufford, Leonard Fain, Mitchell Fain, Bernice McAvoy, Marshall Sherrer, Mablean Sherrer, Brent Sherrer, Tommy Wheatley, Thomas Wheatley, Thomas Bunch, Carla Thaxton Brown, Chris McAvoy, Doris Walker, Kathy Hendrix, Dorothy Callaway, Mike Webb, Frances Vinson, Debra Cato, Ruth Flynt, Mike Woodall, Mary Stewart, Preston Fry, Hunter Boswell, Bonnie Coile, Bill Remsen, Fred Scoggins, Sara Lamar, Joyce Blackwell, Jimmy Coxwell, Patty Pendry, Richard Byrd and Rev. John Mark Carpenter. .George and Ann Wideman visited Mary Stewart in Wills Memorial Hospital several times during the week. They also visited Emily Rorie in the Echols Home. James, David and Matthew Wideman visited George and Ann Saturday and Sunday. Gene Winfrey visited one day. . J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright joined Martha Jones of Bogart for lunch Wednesday at Ryan's in Oconee County after going for Bonnie's treatment. .Johnny Boatwright visited J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright last Wednesday evening. Rebecca and Raeleigh Armour and Ruth Flynt also visited. .Barry and Dana Echols of Ball Ground spent Saturday here at the homeplace. J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright visited them while they were here. .I am sorry I was not able to call anyone for their news Sunday evening. My voice just wasn't there. By the time you read this I will have only two more weeks of radiation to go. It is getting rough, but we will be okay. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. .The congregation at Beaverdam Baptist Church Sunday morning experienced a special blessing when their own William Morrison beautifully sang "How Great Thou Art." He was accompanied by Mrs. John McMillian at the piano. .The lovely arrangement of flowers on the altar table at Beaverdam Baptist Church Sunday was given by Barry Echols in memory of his mother, Ann Boatwright Corbett.
