Tanner Guinn entertained at bridesmaids' luncheon May 18

Tanner Guinn, bride-elect of Tom Bridges, was entertained at a bridesmaids' luncheon on Friday, May 18, at the Rider House on Court Street.

Hostesses for the occasion were Mrs. Michael Tanner of Rayle; Mrs. Ralph Denard of Tignall; Mrs. Charles Chafin and Mrs. Robert Guin of Washington.

For the occasion Miss Guinn wore a brown dress with white polka dots trimmed across the upper bodice in turquoise.

Beautiful oak hydrangeas were used in decorating. The hydrangeas and purple statice centered the dining room table and buffet. Three smaller arrangements centered additional tables.

Guests enjoyed a luncheon of chicken salad, fruit and yogurt, marinated bean salad, banana nut muffins,tea, and Kentucky Derby Pie.

After the luncheon course the bride-elect presented her bridesmaids pearl and amber crystal jewelry that she had made especially for them to wear in her wedding. She also made a clear crystal necklace for her flower girl.

The hostesses presented Miss Guinn a patio pitcher and tumbler set.

Nineteen family members and friends attended. Special guests included the bride-elect's mother, Teresa Tanner, and grandmothers, Mrs. Terry Guinn and Mrs. Curtis Tanner; the prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Terry Bridges; and out-of-town guest, Mrs. Heather Harville of Thornhill, Tenn.
