Den'nise Booker celebrates seventh birthday on May 26

Lillian Den'nise Booker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Booker of Washington, was seven years old on Saturday, May 26, and celebrated on two occasions.

On Fri- day, May 18, Den'nise enjoyed an early birthday celebration with the students at Emanuel Christian Academy. After singing "Happy Birthday" to Den'nise, they were served pizza and corn for lunch. Her parents, little sister, E'Liza, and brother, Javaris, joined them for lunch. Den'nise assisted her mother in giving out frosted sugar cookies for dessert.

On her birthday Den'nise spent the afternoon at Adventure Crossing in Augusta with her parents, sister, E'Liza; aunt and cousins, Angeline Andrews-Milton, Angelic, Frank and John Milton II, and cousin, Jermeicia Gladmon, of Augusta. After playing they returned to Washington for a birthday supper at the Pizza Hut where her guests were her sister, E'Liza; cousins, Jermecia Gladmon, Alaina and Tyrick Booker, Shanta Nash; aunt, Judith Booker; Jordan Covin and Michael Harper. The children enjoyed playing video games while waiting to eat and Den'nise opened her gifts after dinner. Everyone enjoyed a slice of Den'nise's Bratz birthday cake after the singing of "Happy Birthday."

Before leaving for Augusta, Den'nise got a birthday call from her sister, Angoneckia, of Orangeburg, S.C. She also enjoyed a short visit with her grandmother, Sarah Booker Gladmon, at her home and was wished a "Happy Birthday" by phone from her grandmother, Marie C. Andrews of Tignall. Den'nise's day ended with a surprise visit from her brother, Jarvaris, of Washington.
