Brantley Stevens earns top honors at Ag Mechanics event
Brantley Stevens, a senior and Future Farmers of America member at Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School, was named a high individual at the State Ag Mechanics Career Development Event in Covington, Georgia. Stevens prepared for the event for four weeks and competed against 48 individuals from around the state. He earned high scores in the areas of wiring, small engines, and welding based on his ability. Stevens was presented the high individual honor at the state FFA convention in Macon on April 27. The FFA team placed third out of 12 teams in the state at the Ag Mechanics CDE. The team members are Michael Land, Andrew Ramien, Russell Standard, and Brantley Stevens.
