Jennifer Shank earns degree in education at Augusta State

Jennifer Shank received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education during commencement exercises at Augusta State University Saturday, May 12, at the James Brown Arena.

Jennifer was a member of Kappa Delta Epsilon honorary professional education fraternity. Students are required to maintain a 3.0 average in order to become a member of the fraternity.

Joining her in celebration of her graduation were her parents, Albert and Mary Ann Shank; her sisters, Shabakka and Tashia; a niece, Dionesia; and a host of other relatives and friends, including Mr. and Mrs. Booker Jackson, Lee and Gavin, and an aunt and uncle, Chris and Sonny Wingfield.

Jennifer will be employed by the Richmond County Board of Education as a kindergarten teacher at Wheeless Road Elementary School in the fall.
