Mary Lou Dearicott Funeral services for Mary Lou Dearicott, 97, were held Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at the Brinkley's Chapel Baptist Church, Thomson, with Rev. W.R. Ferrell presiding and Pastor Melvin L. Bell officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Friday, June 8. Mrs. Dearicott was a native of Wilkes County and was the daughter of the late Willie and Delia Dearicott. She was the widow of Tommy West and was a member of Brinkley's Chapel Baptist Church. She was an active and faithful member of the church and had served on the Missionary Board and as Mother of the Church. Survivors include four children, Tommie West Jr., Delia Grant, Ella Hamilton, and Mary Bell, all of Thomson; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 13 greatgreat grandchildren.
Thomson Funeral System was in charge of arrangements.
