Special award presented to Burdette
Former County Commissioner Ed Burdette (seated) was the recipient of a special award presented by the Rotary Club of Washington last Thursday, June 7, in a brief ceremony during the club's regular meeting. Rotary President Tammy Bryngelson recognized Burdette for his longtime commitment to the Wilkes County community and for his dedication to and involvement in many areas of public affairs. "We just wanted to recognize Mr. Burdette for his many years of service to the county he loves," Bryngelson said. Burdette and his wife, Eva, were special guests during the regular lunch meeting of the Rotary Club.
