John Hansford has been elected president of the Student Government Associaion of the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Hansford, a second-year dental student at MCG, is a former recipient of the Graydon L. Ware award for the most outstanding biology major and is a magna cum laude graduate of Mercer University in Macon. He served as class president at MCG last year and is currently the class representative to the American Student Dental Association. He is a Dean't List student and serves as a tutor for students preparing for the MCAT, DAT, OAT, and PCAT for Kaplan Inc.
Hansford is the son of Tim and Ann Hansford, formerly of Washington.
