Blessed to live here
TO THE EDITOR:

On May 11 we were involved in an accident on Highway 17 when a truck entered our lane and struck our motorcycles.

As we lay there in the ditch, firerescue workers, EMS and law enforcement personnel arrived on the scene. I have worked with all of these wonderful people, and in our time of need it was an immeasurable comfort to see their friendly and caring faces.

We knew without a doubt that we were receiving the best care.

We would like to thank every one of these first responders, firemen, medics, deputies, and volunteers that helped us. Thank you also to all of the people who called, visited, sent cards and gifts, brought food, and especially prayed for us in the weeks to follow.

We feel very blessed to live in this great community.
