W-W Garden Club gathers at Burns home for picnic

Members of the Washington- Wilkes Garden Club gathered at the lovely lake home of Linda Burns near Tignall for a summer picnic and fellowship on Thursday, June 14.

Everyone enjoyed a bountiful and delicious lunch served with a wonderful view of the lake.

Mabel Johnson, outgoing president, wished for everyone a happy summer and encouraged them to use many of the gardening ideas and skills they had gleaned from the year's programs.

The next meeting will be September 13 at the home of Sally Kennedy.

Joining Mrs. Burns for the lunch and fellowship were Celeste Adams, Elaine Boiter, Faye Durham, Becky Dixon, Sara Frances Henderson, Sally Kennedy, Pat Mack, Edna Rhodes, Mary Webster, Genevieve Thurmond and Mabel Johnson.
