Rhetta Gresham WOM members meet June 7 at FBC

The Rhetta Gresham Women on Mission of First Baptist Church met in the Jesse Mercer Chapel June 7.

In the absence of Gladys Reese, Helen Miller presided.

The group read the WMU Watchword from Colossians.

A short business meeting was held. Members voted to make a donation to the Acteens who were attending the Acteens Mission Conference and to the Pure Water-Pure Love Project that provides wells and pure water in countries where there is none.

Mrs. Miller presented the program, "When Poverty Lives Next Door," and was assisted by June Chafin and Mabel Johnson. She also shared a story from "Panorama of Service" in "Mosaic."

Mrs. Johnson led the missionary prayer calendar and closed with a prayer for the missionaries and those with special needs.

Attending were Helen Miller, Mabel Johnson and June Chafin.
