Mason Thornton celebrates first birthday June 8

Mason Allen Thornton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Thornton, celebrated his first birthday on June 8.

On his birthday Mason celebrated with a party at the Washington- Wilkes Country Club pool. The party theme was "Boys Playtime" and included airplanes, sports and firetrucks.

Guests enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings, chips, ice cream and cake.

Guests included Mason's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rogers of Tignall and Mrs. Peggy Anderson of Washington; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Thornton of Washington and Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Redfern of North Charleston, S.C.; maternal great-grandparents, Mrs. Allen Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moore of Washington; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Thornton of Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Casey Carter and Grier, Derrick Thornton, Abby Aaron, Will Long, Mrs. Steve Price, Billy Moore, Mrs. Joe Barnett, Mrs. Jamie Barnett and Cassidy, Mrs. Richey McAvoy and Amy, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thornton, Laney and Jackson, Mrs. Marc Hammond, Brock and Camden, and Terry Mc- Clain and Sydney.

Out-of-town guests included, Brinkley Bradshaw of Thomson; Katie McKellar of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Matt Mealing and Katelyn of North Augusta, S.C.; Michele Palermino and Dainelle of Martinez; and Mrs. Wayne Hendrix of Evans.
