Tanner Michelle Guinn, Tommy Allen Bridges exchange wedding vows in outdoor ceremony

Tanner Michelle Guinn and Tommy Allen Bridges of Washington exchanged wedding vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the home of the bridegroom's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Shane Gunter, in Washington Saturday, May 19, at four o'clock in the afternoon. Pastor Paul Reviere of Lincolnton officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell A. Guinn Jr. of Elberton and Teresa Lynn Tanner of Washington.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Allen Bridges of Washington.

Guests entered through the iron arbor gate decorated with ivy and bows and after parking, followed a walkway formed by candelabra adorned with ivy and bows. Guests were seated in white chairs overlooking the pond. The altar was formed by a gated iron arbor, a gift from the bride's grandfather, Curtis Tanner, decorated with a profusion of orange, peach and white spring flowers accented with a large white bow with trailing streamers and ivy. Flanking the arbor were iron chairs that belonged to the bride's greatgrandparents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Evans. Matching flowers adorned the chairs and ferns filled the seats.

Keyboardist Glen Echols of Tignall presented the wedding music. The grandparents and mothers entered to "My Little Girl" and the attendants to "Breathe." "I Loved Her First" was played as the bride entered with her father. Mrs. Glen Echols of Tignall sang "Amazed." The recessional was "From This Moment On."

Mr. Bridges was his son's best man. Usher-groomsmen were Shane Gunter and Chris Dawson of Washington; Stew Thomas of Eatonton; and Don Durden III of Elberton, brother of the bride. Junior groomsmen were Tripp Guinn of Elberton, brother of the bride; and Ty Gunter of Washington, nephew of the bridegroom.

Lauren Guinn of Washington served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Turner of Tignall; Heather Harville of Thornhill, Tenn.; Natalie Sutton of Dallas- Fort Worth, Tex.; and Ashton Tanner of Washington, cousin of the bride. Their latte' strapless tea-length dresses featured ivory sashes.

Junior bridesmaids were Emily Tanner of Washington, cousin of the bride, and Danielle Fain of Elberton. Their gowns matched the attendants' gowns with added spaghetti straps.

All wore ivory pearl and smokey topaz Swarovski crystal necklaces and earrings made by and gifts from the bride and carried silver tussie mussies with salmon roses.

Flower girl, Emily Farr of North Augusta, S.C., cousin of the bridegroom, wore a Strasburg anklelength white dress accented with lace and ecru banding. She carried an ivory basket decorated with coral flowers by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Layton Harris of Tignall, and filled with rose petals.

Cousin of the bride, Brett Tanner of Washington, was ring bearer. He wore black tuxedo pants, white shirt and champagne vest and carried a pillow decorated by Mrs. Harris with tatting made by the bride's great-grandmother, the late Lucy Tanner. Centering the pillow was a cameo brooch that belonged to her great-grandmother, the late Tommy Mae Evans.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was stunning in her Oleg Cassini sheath. The ivory gown featured elegant champagne embroidery stitching, gold beading, iridescents, and fitted bodice with spaghetti straps and a soft V-neckline. The back of the gown fell to a chapel-length train.

Her hip-length veil was adorned with beading. In her hair as "something old" was a pearl necklace given to her as a toddler.

She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white hydrangeas and ivory roses.

Her three-strand pearl necklace was from her grandmother, Mrs. Curtis Tanner, and her earrings were "something new" with her wedding gown, both from her mother. Her "something borrowed" was a handkerchief from her grandfather, the late Terry Guinn. Her garter was "something blue."

The bride's mother chose a rose-colored long dress and jacket adorned with beading and embroidery.

The bridegroom's mother wore a champagne long dress and jacket accented with embroidery.

Mrs. Guinn chose a brown V-neck knee-length dress.

All wore corsages of two white roses.

The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Curtis Tanner of Washington, wore long pale pink dress with beading and embroidery. Her grandmother, Mrs. Terry Guinn of Tignall, chose an aqua ankle-length dress fashioned with a tan waist tie. Her greatgrandmother, Mrs. Boyce Guin of Lincolnton, wore a Navy dress. Their corsages were single white roses.

Mrs. Jack Strother of Washington directed the wedding. Reception

The couple's parents entertained at a reception at the Gunter home following the ceremony.

A large white tent was transformed into a summer garden with potted magnolia and cypress trees in addition to masses of colorful roses and hydrangeas. All were clustered and wrapped with white tulle with pouf bows. Mrs. Jack Strother and Mrs. John Harvey Edwards of Washington decorated this area.

Jamie Land of Washington tended the register.Guests also signed the matte of the couple's engagement picture.

Near the entrance was an elegant display of salmon, yellow and ivory roses in an urn flanked by cherubs holding large votives. Nearby was the formal bridal portrait.

The round three-stacked layered wedding cake in ivory with latte banding was topped with fresh roses and stephanotis. The initials "TBT" embellished the cake that shared a round table with a tall crystal vase of salmon roses and calla lilies. Mrs. Dennis Harper of Thomson, aunt of the bridegroom, served cake.

The bridegroom's cake featured a scene of the Cayman Islands, his favorite vacation destination, and a matching arrangement of roses and lilies. Mrs. Jimmy Toto of Washington served the cake.

Serving tables in white were before settings of potted roses and hydrangeas swirled in white. A beautiful and delicious assortment of party foods, fruits and vegetables was served with beverages. Jimmy Toto of Washington also assisted in serving.

Guest tables under the tent were covered in floor-length white cloths and adorned with beautiful varied arrangements of peach, yellow and ivory roses and Alstroemeria lilies with multiple large hurricanes.

A video of the couple through the years was enjoyed.

The couple honeymooned at St. Thomas.

They are making their home in Washington. Rehearsal Dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Bridges entertained at a rehearsal dinner at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Fellowship Hall honoring Tanner Guinn and Tom Bridges.

Miss Guinn wore a brown sundress with festive teal floral designs.

White cloths covered the tables decorated with varying size hurricanes and lovely arrangements of peach, yellow and ivory roses and Alstroemeria lilies.

Guests enjoyed dinner from a buffet centered with a trumpet vase of salmon, yellow and ivory roses flanked by crystal vases of salmon roses and calla lilies.

During the evening Mr. Bridges presented gifts to his wedding party.

All enjoyed a video of the couple.
