AARP helps with transportation costs
Mary Ann Bentley, treasurer, gives a check from the Wilkes County Chapter 5320 AARP for $200 to Ruth Rogers, president. The check is to be presented to the Wilkes County Cancer Relief Fund which helps Wilkes County cancer patients with gasoline expenses for out-of-town travel to receive treatments. The Wilkes County Chapter AARP has moved to inactive status and the members voted to disperse their funds to be used for this purpose.
