Concert on July 8 to benefit families struck by tragedy

Award-winning country music artist T. Graham Brown will perform a benefit for two area families Saturday, July 7, in Elberton.

The concert, set for 8 p.m. next Saturday at the Elberton Elks Lodge, will benefit long-time Wilkes residents Jeff and Denise Johnson, who were hurt in a recent motorcycle accident, and an Elbert County family, Jeff and Angel Simpson, whose two young children are both being treated for cancer.

Tickets will be available at the door for $15 or in advance for $12.50. Ticket are available by calling 404-713-3091 or by e-mail to hope@lakerussellwaterfront.com.

Tickets will also be on sale at the Washington-Wilkes Chamber of Commerce.

Sponsors for the benefit concert include Lake Russell Park Shores Development, Fortson Well Drilling, Southern Forest Properties, Blackberry Bend Development, Colonial Builders, Neal Construction, T&M Grading, and Bauknight & Associations Surveyors.
