Geneva Fendley Hopkins Graveside services for Geneva Fendley Hopkins, 79, of Washington were held Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at the Washington-Wilkes Memorial Gardens with Rev. Albert W. Huyck Jr. officiating. She died Saturday, June 23. Mrs. Hopkins was a native of Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Newton Emory Fendley and Fannie Mae Beasley Fendley. She was the widow of Clarence Addison Hopkins. She was retired from the textile industry as a machine operator, and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Washington. Survivors include three sons, Addison Hopkins, Roger Hopkins and his wife Martha, and Gary Hopkins and his wife Faye, all of Washington; five brothers, Raymond Fendley, Thomson, Jessie Fendley, Jackson, Robert Lee Fendley, Cleveland, Marvin Fendley, Gibson, and Melvin Fendley, Jackson; two sisters, Reecie Herbert, Sylvania, and Maude Bevard, Cleveland; fivegrandchildren and fivegreatgrandchildren. Pallbearers included Bobby Standard, Daryll Roth, Anthony Crago, Danny Fendley, Scott Fendley, and Michael Fendley.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
