It's all about Him

I thought for a while if I heard another young person say "awesome" I would scream, but one thing I never get tired of hearing them say is, "It's all about Him." Amen and amen to that. In this day and time when it's all about them, I am glad to hear that "It's all about Him." Praise the Lord for that.
When I was coming up back in the what we lovingly call, "the good old days," and believe you me they were the best good old days, we would have Holy Ghost fire-filled revivals that lasted for weeks and after they were over you never heard people saying, "Oh, he was the best preacher I've ever heard. Oh, you should have heard him. He's going to be over at this other church and I'm going to hear him. Boy, he can really preach." What you did hear was, "Oh praise God, we had a wonderful revival. Souls were saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost. Many were added to the church. We had a great time in the Lord." Sounds like something out of the Bible.
You see, folks, back then it truly was about Him and back then we didn't even say that. We didn't have to, because that's the way it was. Back then in the 1950s we watched television, but it didn't mean anything. The actors were just people on a screen. Big deal! Now we've let Hollywood make gods out of them and we've become an idolatrous nation. Our idols are human.
Now, everything is geared to the celebrity status -- celebrities in sports, in entertainment, in business, in politics and in the ministry. It's all about them.
But I don't care who they are or how much money they have got or what status in life they have. One day, every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. It's all about Him! Can you say amen?
