More DUIs and license problems top June's round up of law enforcement

Driving under the influence and driving on revoked or suspended licenses were again the most common offenses during the month of June, but arrests for property crimes continue in both city and county.

The following arrests were logged at the Wilkes County Law Enforcement Center during June.

Jose Manuel Perez, 36, of Washington, was arrested June 24 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with surrender of prior license and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was released on $961 bond.

Franklin Tavares Andrews, 19, of Washington, was arrested on June 24 by Washington Police and charged with failure to stop at or return to scene of accident and no proof of insurance. He was released on $2,000 bond.

Roy Clyde Dowd, Jr., 28, of Twin City, was arrested June 24 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and driving on a suspended or revoked license. He is held on 3,000 bond.

Tarmacus Antonio Crew, 27, of Washington, was arrested June 23 by Washington Police and charged with reckless driving and fleeing or attempting to elude police officer.He is held on $2,354 bond.

Gerard Matthew Tyson, 34, of Rayle, was arrested June 22 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, reckless driving, operating vehicle with cancelled registration, violation of the open container law, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and two traffic violations. He is held on $14,000 bond.

George Dunn, 76, of Rayle, was arrested June 21 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond.

Eugene Luke, 42, of Rayle, was arrested June 19 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He is held on $1,500 bond.

Nakita Jillette Hearst, 35, of Lincolnton, was arrested June 19 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license and failure to wear a safety belt. She was released on $1,456 bond.

William Cofer, 19, of Washington, was arrested June 19 by Washington Police and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license and loud music. He is held on $988 bond.

Louise Mahoney, 49, of Washington, was arrested June 18 by Washington Police and charged with simple battery. She was released on $3,500 bond.

Michael Timothy Sutherland, 35, of Tignall, was arrested June 16 by a Wilkes County deputy and charged with burglary and criminal damage to property in the second degree. He was held on $10,000 bond.

Kevin Lee Sutherland, of Tignall, was arrested June 16 by a Wilkes County deputy and charged with burglary and criminal damage to property in the second degree. He was held on $10,000 bond.

Rufus Pierce Sutherland, 61, of Tignall, was arrested June 16 by a Wilkes County deputy and charged with being a party to a crime. He was released on $5,000 bond.

Julian Martinez, 27, of Washington, was arrested June 17 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with surrender of prior license, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and a traffic violation. He was released on $1,116 bond.

April Sherne Spence, 37, of Washington, was arrested June 16 by Washington Police and charged with disorderly conduct. She is held on $600 bond.

Fredrick Quinn, Jr., 19, of Washington, was arrested June 16 by Washington Police and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and a traffic violation. He was released on $1,600 bond.

Ricardo Cotez Chapman, 23, of Rayle, was arrested June 15 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with theft by taking. He was released on $3,500 bond.

Gregory Gladmon, 44, of Washington, was arrested June 15 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license and violation of the open container law. He was released on $1,750 bond.

Willie Lee Cofer, 17,of Washington, was arrested June 14 by Washington Police and charged with trespassing. He was held on $209 bond.

Lorenzo Gutierrez, 22, of Washington, was arrested June 14 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with surrender of prior license. He was released on $295 bond.

Eddie Lee Jackson, 39, of Washington, was arrested June 13 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with forgery in the first degree. No bond was noted.

Christine Blackwell, 66, of Tignall, was arrested June 12 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with eight counts of theft of lot or mislaid property. She was released on $27,000 bond.

Quincey A. Felix, 23, of Rayle, was arrested June 11 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, and a traffic violation. He was released on $5,000 bond.

Steven Smith, 30, of Athens, was arrested June 10 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and a traffic violation. He was released on $2,000 bond.

Bryant Keith Quinn, 18, of Washington, was arrested June 10 by Washington Police and charged with statutory rape. He was held on $5,000 bond.

Gary Cade, 43, of Tignall, was arrested June 9 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on $135 cash bond.

Thurston Cade, Jr., of Tignall, was arrested June 8 by Tignall Police and charged with 3rd offense of license to be carried and exhibited on demand. He was released on $4,082 bond.

Ferron T. Cox, 33, of Washington, was arrested June 8 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on $3,000 bond.

Claude Partlow, 45, of Tignall, was arrested June 7 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with false statements in matters within jurisdiction of the state and four counts of theft of lost or mislaid property. He was held on $35,000 bond.

Gerard M. Parks, 44, of Washington, was arrested June 7 by Washington Police and charged with theft by shoplifting He was released on $216 bond.

Darius Jervante Seals, 21, of Crawfordville, was arrested June 5 by the Georgia State Patrol and charged with driving on a revoked or suspended license. He was released on $1,500 bond.

Christine G. Young, 70, of Washington, was arrested June 4 by Washington Police and charged with theft by shoplifting. She was released on $432 bond.

Nelson Walton, 42, of Washington, was arrested June 4 by Washington Police and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and a traffic violation. He was released on $2,100 bond.

Regina Faye Williams, 42, of Rayle, was arrested June 4 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with deposit account fraud. She was released on $406 bond.

Henry Lee Mickens, 50, of Washington, was arrested June 1 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license. He was released on $1,500 bond.

David L. Lewis, 26, of Washington, was arrested June 1 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with simple assault. He was released on $3,000 bond.

Arrested for parole violations in June were: Corey J. Blackburn, 26, of Crawfordville and Demetrius A. Perkins, 25, of Washington.

Arrested for probation violations in June were: Curtis Bolton, 42, of Rayle; Anthony Dwayne Fain, 38, of Tignall; and Selina Ruth Smith, 24, of Augusta.
