Old-fashioned Bible School held at Mallorysville

Vacation Bible School was held at Mallorysville Baptist Church June 4-8 with supper served each night.

An old-fashioned Bible school was held, directed by Vivie Ann Wilson and Dianne Compton.

The curriculum was entirely Bible-based and the theme was "Champions of the Bible." Children studied about many characters of the Bible who became champions for God. The special memory verse was "With God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37.

Classes ranged from nursery to adult with an average attendance of 60 each night.

Moses (Rev. Donnie Berry) was a special guest and visited each night, telling his life story.

On commencement night June 8, classes presented their accomplishments to the guests. These consisted of songs learned, Bible verses learned, questions and answers about characters studied, and Biblical attire of characters studied along with information on each.

After commencement, a hotdog supper was served with all the trimmings. Crafts made by the children were displayed in the fellowship hall.

The directors and church members expressed appreciation for all who helped made this Vacation Bible School special and a great success.
