Four baptized at Fishing Creek

A baptismal service was held at Fishing Creek Baptist Church, Sunday, June 24. Rev. Roy Cates is pastor of the church.

Candidates for baptism were:

Jacob Brown, son of Lou Anne Brown of Fayetteville.

Haley Hood, daughter of Joni Morgan Greene of Martinez and Jeremy Hood of Thomson.

Robert Dandron, son of Michelle Dandron of Tignall.

Justin Moore, son of Detra Moore of Tignall.

Earlier in the year there were two others baptized; Bill Odom; and Amber George, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Brian George of Washington.

The message for the June 24 service was brought by Rev. Cates, emphasizing the importance of baptism and its purpose. Special music was presented by Frank Turner Jr. and Henry and Lois Holsenback.

After the benediction everyone was invited to a covered dish lunch in the fellowship hall.
