Valedictorian visits with governor
Jessica Watson, a 2007 graduate of Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School (center), was honored at a special reception held at the Governor's Mansion for Georgia's valedictorians on June 9. At the reception, Jessica met Governor Sonny Perdue (right) and First Lady Mary Perdue (left). She also had the opportunity to converse with state leaders Lieutenant Governor Casy Cagle, State School Superintendent Kathy Cox, UGA President Michael Adams, and other members of the Board of Regents. Jessica and her parents, Frank and Jackie Watson, were also able to tour the mansion.
