Florence Elizabeth Turpin Ingram

Funeral services for Florence Elizabeth Turpin Ingram, 71, of Big Cedar Road, Washington, were held Monday, July 2, 2007, at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Fran Connell officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Friday, June 29, at Select Specialty Hospital in Augusta.

Mrs. Ingram was a native of Wilkes County and had lived here all of her life. She was the widow of Fred Ingram and was the daughter of the late John Claud Turpin and Lona E. Vinson Turpin. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Vickey I. Glenn of Washington; three sons, Claud Ingram, Washington, David Ingram, Flowery Branch, and Paul Ingram, Mableton; four sisters, Anna Laura Butler, Augusta, Lucille Ingram and Mary McPherson, Washington, and Margaret Montigny; two brothers, Marion Turpin, Atlanta, and George Augustus Turpin, Ft. Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers included Adam Harper, Wade Dunnaway, Mike McPherson, Danny Ingram, Randy Ingram, and Matt Ryll.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, c/o Billy Dunnaway, 600 S. Jefferson St., Washington 30673.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
