Harper Smith honored at Teddy Bear Picnic party

Harper Elizabeth Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Trey Smith of Washington, celebrated her first birthday with a Teddy Bear Picnic on June 23 at her home. Her birthday was June 19.

Harper and her guests enjoyed a picnic of fried chicken, deviled eggs, potato salad, pasta salad, baked beans, sandwiches, and fresh fruit by the pool. Dessert was her birthday cake, a two-tiered polka dot cake topped with a stuffed teddy bear.

Celebrating with Harper and her parents were her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Butts of Tignall and Mr. and Mrs. James Smith of Valdosta; great-grandmother, Mrs. Paul Harper of Tignall; Joey Smith of Valdosta; Danny Butts of Milledgeville; Mrs. Charles Reese, Mrs. James Meech and Andrew, Rev. and Mrs. Chris Townsend, Garston and Henry, Mrs. Jack Leard III and Kelsey and Mrs. Kyle Bearse and Whitney.

On June 9 Harper was honored with a birthday cookout at the home of her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith in Valdosta. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. James Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Valenti, Tina Valenti, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Smith, Travis and Cory, and Mr. and Mrs. Rob McGhin of Valdosta.
