Beth Conard guest of honor at baby shower held June 30

Beth Conard was guest of honor at a baby shower on Saturday morning, June 30, given by Linda Smith, Shelley Warrenfells, Rose Newby, and Alice Lindsey at the Smith home in Upton Mill.

In honor of the occasion, Mrs. Conard was presented a corsage of white daisies accented with a blue bow.

From the buffet table overlaid with a white Army-Navy cloth and centered with a vase of Asian and Oriental lilies was served an assortment of party foods including open face tomato sandwiches, cheese straws, divinity, chicken salad sandwiches, lemon squares, roasted nuts and iced tea.

The hostesses presented Mrs. Conard a Fisher Price Newborn to Toddler Portable Rocker and a Diaper Genie.

Fifty guests were invited. Special guests attending included the prospective grandmother, Pauline Bell of Washington; and greatgrandmother, Edna Young of Bradley, S.C. Other out-of-town guests included Jackie Young, Renee Young, Kaurie Young, Rob and Karis, of Bradley, S.C.; June Durden of Grovetown; Kim Tubbs of Cleveland, Tenn.; Laura Williamson of Thomson; and Sonon Ashley of Greenwood, S.C.
