Female 'The Odd Couple' is set for performances July 27-Aug. 4 The Washington Little Theater Company's summer play is the female version of The Odd Couple, often considered Neil Simon's funniest play. Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28, at 8 p.m.; Sunday, July 29, at 3 p.m.; and again the following Friday and Saturday, August 3 and 4, at 8 p.m. All performances will be at the Playhouse on North Alexander Avenue in Washington. In starring roles are Cindy Barrow and Elaine Filipiak, with Emmye Collins, Kay Finnell, Shay Harris, and Cindy Russell in supporting roles. The affable Spanish gentlemen in the drama are played by Kenny Sifre and Bruce Beggs, director Bolton Lunceford says. Joan Baker is associate director, Cindy Neimann is assistant to the directors, and Debra Wall is stage manager. Reservations are being taken at 706-678-9582.
"This is a play to have fun with," Lunceford said, "so let it add to your summer pleasures. Come and laugh! What better way is there to pass the evening or afternoon than to see gifted actors tear into a riproaringly funny play?"
