Huyck to speak at 224th Fishing Creek homecoming July 22

Fishing Creek Baptist Church will have its 224th homecoming service Sunday, July 22, at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Albert W. Huyck Jr. of Tignall.

Following the worship service a barbecued pork and covered dish meal will be served.

Rev. Huyck is Pastor Emeritus of the First Baptist Church, Washington, and recently retired as pastor of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Revival services will begin Monday evening, July 23, at 8 p.m. and will continue through Friday evening, July 27. Dr. Ben Glosson, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, Hazelhurst, will be the guest evangelist. There will be special music each night.

Dr. Glosson has held many services throughout this area over a number of years. "In addition to being a pastor, head of a Christian mission operation, many churchgoers in the area have found him to be a dedicated Christian interested in helping to save a lost world," says Rev. Roy Cates, pastor of the Fishing Creek church.

Rev. Cates extends an invitation to everyone to attend and enjoy the worship services and good Christian fellowship.
