Andrew Meech celebrates first birthday June 28

Andrew Meech, son of James and Katy Meech, celebrated his first birthday on June 28 with a party at his home.

Andrew and his guests enjoyed a strawberry cake, made by his mom, and ice cream. Those attending in addition to Andrew and his parents were his grandparents, Mickey and Nancy Sisson of Washington and Tom and Kathy Meech of Greensboro, N.C.; Tony and Kelly Powell, Mallory and Madison, John Sisson, Henry and Faye McAvoy and Lila Edwards.

Andrew was also guest of honor at a pool party at the home of his grandparents, Mickey and Nancy Sisson on June 29. Guests enjoyed grilled hot dogs and chicken strips with slaw, potato salad and baked beans. Guests also enjoyed cake and homemade ice cream.

Those celebrating with Andrew in addition to his parents and grandparents were Tony and Kelly Powell, Mallory and Madison, John Sisson, Niki Bailey and Jeremy Burgess of Lincolnton, Sherri Bailey and Reese, Amy Broadnax of Athens, Jay and Lee Durham and Jack, Robbie and Jessica Eubank, Porter and Carson, Mary Ellen Lindsey, Trey and Michelle Smith and Harper and Tommy and Debbie Wells.
