'Deception' continues shooting with little disruption of traffic
Traffic will be detoured around the Mestey Films Productions locations to keep the sounds of modern traffic from becoming part of the film, which is set in 1850. The bulk of the production of "Deception" will take place at Holly Court Inn on South Alexander Avenue, where the movie company filmed last summer, and the Abramson home on Newtown Road. Newtown Road will be closed most of the day Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28. Flagmen will control traffic on the Newtown Road between Jane Hill Road and the Martin Echols Road as the movie production company films scenes at the home of Doug and Susan Abramson. South Alexander Avenue and East Liberty Street will be closed as the production will return to Holly Court this week with closings on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 to 3 p.m. Residents in the area of South Alexander Avenue and East Liberty Street have been given the filming schedule to know when their streets will be closed to traffic. Some days will see only a brief interruption in traffic, while other days will see the streets closed most of the day. Detours will be marked to take traffic around the area. Extras for the movie are requested to report at 9 a.m. Saturday Saturday July 28.
There will be a Meet and Greet with the cast on Sunday afternoon, July 29, from noon to 3 p.m.
