Melanie Hart to visit Washington; 'Concert on The Square' planned

Melanie Hart is coming to Washington, Georgia.

That's right, as the article in last week's News-Reporter reported, Melanie Hart, Christian songwriter and singer is indeed coming to Washington. Two years ago a group of women held a "Women's Conference" in Washington. Out of that conference many of us got a chance to get a CD of her songs. Wow, what sound! We've corresponded with her for the last two years and she has welcomed the opportunity to come to Washington, Georgia, all the way from Tibilisi, Georgia.

Melanie, her husband Jim, and daughter Madison are touring North America this summer and fall. They will be in Washington for the weekend of September 20-23, 2007. The concert on The Square will be one of many events that Melanie will be involved in here.

Saturday, September 22, 2007 Women's Conference 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., including lunch. A chance for women to meet Melanie and learn and share women's issues here in the U.S. and in the former Soviet Republic State, the country of Georgia. Information is being sent to churches and will appear in the paper as we get closer to the date.

Saturday, September 22, 2007, "Concert on the Square - One More for Him!" Bring lawn chairs and your family and friends a for truly wonderful experience of Melanie's music and the music of local artists. Time 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Sunday morning worship, First United Methodist Church, Washington, 11:15 a.m. Make plans to come. Melanie will share more of her experiences that the Lord has given her through her music ministry.

Sunday evening worship, First Baptist Church 6 p.m. Make plans to come. Melanie will share more of her experiences that the Lord has given her through her music ministry.

Bringing Melanie Hart to Washington, Georgia, is a joint effort of a steering committee made up of members of various churches in Washington.
