Adopt me

This is one of the many puppies at the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter that need loving homes.

Puppies can learn their names and can be housebroken, and even some commands when very young.

Their name should be no more than two syllables. Reinforce every lesson with praise and stroke your puppy's head, neck, shoulders, and chest when it obeys. A firm"No" can be used if needed. Trainers do not recommend physical punishment. It will only make your new puppy fearful of you.

Call or visit the Washington- Wilkes Animal Shelter at 358 Brown Drive. Phone: 706-678-CATS.
