Teresa Jean Echols Bray

Funeral services for Teresa Jean Echols Bray, 52, of Golden Lane, Leicester, N.C., were held Monday, July 30, 2007, at the Washington Chapel in Washington-Wilkes with Pastor Randy Bray officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery, Washington. She died Friday, July 27, at her home.

Mrs. Bray was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of James and Martha Matthews Echols of Washington. She was a graduate of Bob Jones Secretarial School in Greenville, S.C., and served as church secretary and secretary to the pastor at Temple Baptist Church for the past 10 years.

Survivors include her husband, Pastor Randy Bray of Leicester, N.C.; two sons, Jonathan David Bray, Knoxville, Tenn., and Charles Cassidy Bray, and his wife Erin, of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Sonya E. Pilgrim, Thomson; and a brother, Dennis Echols, Winterville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gymnasium Fund of Temple Baptist Church, 985 1/2 Patton Avenue, Asheville, N.C. 28806.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
