Willie Parks Graveside services for Willie Parks, 73, were held Saturday, July 28, 2007, at City West Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. R.C. Lockhart officiating. He died July 24. Mr. Parks was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Eddie and Margaree Parks of Tignall. He was married to Betty Ruth Fuller in October 1966, and was employed at Central Sawyer Poultry in Athens for many years. Survivors include six children, Renie Parks, Washington; Willie Ed Parks Jr., Thomson; Pinkie Davis, Abbeville, S.C.; Verna Inez Wright, Augusta; Timothy Fuller, Washington; and Ruthie Fuller Norman, Washington; two sisters, Mattie B. Allen, Elberton, and Laura Mae Wilburn, Hartwell; and a host of grandchildren.
McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
